The common room
The Villiage Ledger
Notes on fair dealings — the thirty Villiage Principles, your own Account Book, and the dealings members record as they go. Every doorway below opens off this room.
The Doorways
The same wisdom is kept in one Ledger and read in different rooms. A woman may enter by the sister house, a man by the brother house, a builder by the house of land, a steward by the house of good works. Nobody has to learn a system to be dealt with fairly.

The sister house
Where the notes were first written down: the women's house, its readings, and its offices. Members can take an office there and keep one Ledger across both houses.
The brother house
The same thirty notes read as charges: the drawing of the keep, the first forged blade, the watch and the oath. Chivalry, craft and the warrior's practice.
The house of land
The land and property house: vocabulary, intelligence and the trade of real estate for members whose work is ground, homes and keeps.
The house of good works
